Join us in historic Birmingham, Alabama, a city nestled at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains for the 11th Annual Regional Stormwater Conference. This year’s event will focus on Stormwater Solutions in Region 4 by providing attendees with a wide array of technologies and strategies to address challenges in stormwater management across the southeast. Attendees will be eligible for up to 15.75 continuing education credits.
Who Should Attend?
The Conference is designed for local, state and federal government administrators and regulators; developers, builders, contractors; land use/development planners; civil/environmental engineers, landscape architects; environmental professionals/consultants; environmentalists and interested citizens.
Deadlines, Discounts and Refunds
The registration fee includes course materials, unlimited access to your choice of two concurrent session tracks, up to 15.75 continuing education credits, access to the exhibit hall, two breakfasts, three breaks, a reception and a lunch. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and checks are accepted. If you wish to pay by check, select the "check" payment option and mail the check along with a copy of your registration form to SESWA, 719 East Park Avenue, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
SESWA members receive a discounted rate, so be sure to login to identify yourself as a member. Online registration will close October 5th, onsite registration will only be available if there are seats available.
Refunds (minus a $25 processing fee) will be given for cancellations received in writing prior to September 28, 2016. Sorry, the association has incurred the cost of your registration as of September 28th and cannot provide a refund after this date.
Attendees are eligible for up to 15.75 hours of continuing education credits. Professional Engineers, Certified Floodplain Managers and anyone requesting a certificate of attendance are eligible for credits on an hour-per-hour basis for the sessions attended. SESWA is an approved Professional Engineer provider for Alabama, Florida (#0004288), Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
The Conference will be held at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel located at 2101 Richard Arrington Junior Boulevard North, Birmingham, AL 35203. SESWA has contracted with the hotel to set aside a block of sleeping rooms for all conference attendees at a discounted rate of $128/night. We do this to make planning as easy as possible and to ensure that you get the most out of your time here. If you choose not to stay at the conference hotel, SESWA could be responsible for paying for those rooms. The block of rooms was held until September 19, 2016, however, there may still be rooms available. Reserve your room by visiting our online reservations page or by calling 205-324-5000. Be sure to mention that you are with the “Southeast Stormwater Association.”
SESWA guests staying at the conference hotel will receive complimentary parking. Self-parking for SESWA guests not staying at the conference hotel will receive a discounted rate of $6/day. Please note that your hotel confirmation may have the regular rates listed but be sure to tell a hotel representative that you are with SESWA to receive the discounted parking rates.
From Airport: The Sheraton Birmingham offers shuttle service to and from the Birmingham Airport (BHM). Visit the hotel’s transportation options page for details including additional options. The hotel is approximately 3 miles from the Birmingham Airport (BHM).
