Over 270 attendees joined us in Charleston, South Carolina to explore stormwater innovations in the Southeast! This year's Conference theme was "Improving Water Quality through Relationships, Regulations and Research."  Sessions provided attendees with a wide array of technologies and strategies to address challenges in stormwater management.  Attendees were eligible for up to 14 PDHs/CEUs/Hours.

Why Was This Conference Different?
The Southeast Regional Stormwater Conference has been fine-tuned and improved over the past nine years!  Here are a few reasons why this year's event was the best ever:
  • EPA Region 4 Administrator Heather McTeer Toney delivered the Keynote Address;
  • The agenda was developed by your peers throughout the southeast with YOU in mind;
  • Attendees earned up to 14 continuing education credits;
  • There was an outstanding Exhibit Hall with the latest innovative stormwater products and services;
  • Networking opportunities like no other event with other stormwater professionals in the Southeast;
  • Two concurrent sessions that allowed attendees to choose the session that fit them the best; and,
  • Charleston, SC in October was a must see destination.
Who Attended?

The Conference attracted over 270 local, state and federal government administrators and regulators; developers, builders, contractors; land use/development planners, civil/environmental engineers, landscape architects; environmental professionals/consultants; environmentalists and interested citizens.

Continuing Education

Attendees were eligible for up to 14 hours of continuing education credits.  Professional Engineers, Certified Floodplain Managers were eligible for credits on an hour-per-hour basis for the sessions attended. SESWA is an approved Professional Engineer provider for Alabama, Florida (#0004288), Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.  Certificates will be mailed to attendees that submitted a form at the Conference.

Deadlines, Discounts and Refunds

The discounted early-bird registration rate was available for registrations received on or before September 8, 2014. In addition, SESWA members received a discounted rate.  The registration fee included course materials, unlimited access to two concurrent sessions, up to 14 continuing education credits, unlimited access to the exhibit hall, two breakfasts, three breaks, a reception and a lunch. Refunds (minus a $25 processing fee) were given for cancellations received in writing prior to September 19, 2014.


The Conference was held at the Charleston Marriott located at 170 Lockwood Boulevard, Charleston, South Carolina 29403.  A block of rooms was reserved at a rate of $142/night for SESWA attendees.


Self-parking at the Charleston Marriott was complimentary for all SESWA attendees.  Valet parking was $10/night.
