Job Description: Performs difficult skilled technical and administrative work administering the City’s Stormwater Management program; participating in the planning, design and construction of stormwater facilities; does related work as required. Work is performed under the general direction of the Director of Engineering. Supervision is exercised over subordinate technical and clerical personnel.

Job Requirements: 

• Researching, developing, implementing and administering environmental policies relating to storm drainage repair and stormwater management.

• Supervises stormwater management personnel; assists in the recruitment, selection, discipline and evaluation of stormwater management personnel.

• Developing and designing stormwater infrastructure projects; developing project plans and specifications; conducting plan reviews; preparing and maintaining files and records.

• Develops and implements stormwater maintenance programs and policies; estimates repair costs and priorities for stormwater improvement projects.

• Completes designs, bid documents and construction administration on stormwater capital improvement projects.

• Develop and implement the City’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, Phase II program.

• Provides technical assistance to the Street Division relevant to stormwater improvements.

• Assists with preparation and management of the stormwater utility program budget.

• Applies for stormwater improvement grants.

• Assists customers requesting information on stormwater improvements.

• Performs related tasks as required.

Salary Information: $59,405 - $98,904
