Brice Martin
Brice Martin, CFM

City of Griffin
Deputy Director - Stormwater

How long have you been a member of SESWA (years)?
Two years.

Have you served SESWA in the past? If so, how?

What abilities and attributes can you bring to the Board?
I have over 14 years of experience in the stormwater industry, specifically on the regulatory side of things. I have a well-rounded knowledge of the MS4 permit, construction and maintenance methods, private property laws pertaining to municipal maintenance, private development and engineering practices (plan review, civil, E&S, etc.), a wide background in public education and involvement, and a desire to see our field grow.

What background and experience do you have in the stormwater industry?
I served as the Stormwater Manager for Coweta County, Georgia for 10 years, successfully building and maintaining the MS4 program and participating in the Metro North Georgia Water Planning District. I have spent the past four years as Deputy Director of Stormwater for the City of Griffin Stormwater Utility Program, managing MS4 permitting, directing construction and maintenance operations, overseeing technical aspects of the program, and conducting project management in the City's capital improvement programs.

Why do you want to serve on the Board of Directors?
I am interested in assisting the organization in making informed decisions regarding the future education of industry professionals. When I started in the field there was very little education available specific to what we do. I hope to bring some experience and a first-hand knowledge to help professionals that are starting in the field.
